Commissioner Zapple named to state’s Residential Code Council

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY NEWS) — North Carolina Residential Code Council has appointed New Hanover County Commissioner Rob Zapple to serve.
Governor Josh Stein nominated Zapple to the council on May 2nd, then he was later confirmed to the by the North Carolina Senate.
“I’m humbled by the Governor’s trust in me to serve in this role on the state’s Residential Code Council and look forward to working with my colleagues from around the state to create common sense policy for residential construction,” Zapple said. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to bring the experiences from the coastal region of the state into the conversation and delighted to represent New Hanover County.”
Rob Zapple will serve a sixteen month term in the licensed general contractor designated seat with his experience in residential foundations and concrete placement.
