Community invited to City of Wilmington’s ‘Big Day of Birding’

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The community is invited to the City of Wilmington’s Big Day of Birding.

The event will take place on January 23, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Registration is required and it costs $30 a person.

Attendees must be at least 18 years old. The city says transportation will be provided.

Participants will explore a variety of habitats, birding hotspots and lesser-known areas to find and identify as many birds as possible.
