Connor Barth heading to Tampa Bay for a Tuesday tryout


TAMPA, FL (WWAY) — According to multiple media reports Wilmington native Connor Barth is expected to take part in a tryout on Tuesday for the vacant kicking position with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Barth, a Hoggard grad, played for Tampa Bay from 2009 to 2012. He missed the 2013 due to an injury. Barth briefly spent time with Tampa Bay in 2014 in the preseason. He also spent time with the Buccaneers prior to the start of the 2015 regular season.

Billy Cundiff, Kai Forbath and Randy Bullock are also expected to attend the tryout with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Tuesday. Tampa Bay released kicker Kyle Brindza on Monday.
