Construction begins on Carolina Beach Boardwalk extension

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Construction has begun on the Carolina Beach boardwalk’s northern extension.

The project is an extension of the wooden boardwalk from the Harper Avenue Beach Access north to the Pelican Lane Beach Access.

The construction will continue through late June.

Signage and fencing will be used to direct pedestrians to nearby open beach accesses when closings are necessary.
