Construction workers hurt after rebar falls 15 stories in Myrtle Beach
Myrtle Beach, S.C. (WPDE) — Two construction workers were hurt by falling reinforcing bar, or rebar, according to a tweet from Myrtle Beach Fire Rescue (MBFR) Thursday morning.
The rebar fell from 15 stories up at 1609 Ocean Boulevard and hit two of the workers, according to MBFR.
Both patients were transported, according to MBFR.
Glenn Williams, VP of Landmark, the General contractor for the project, said they are still investigation the incident.
He said their thoughts and prayers are with the two workers that were injured.
