Convicted felon pleads guilty to possessing a weapon of mass destruction
PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) – What started as a car accident ended with a two year prison sentence.
According to District Attorney Ben David’s office, James Albright of Graham, 37, pleaded guilty to Possessing a Weapon of Mass Destruction and Possession of a Firearm By a Convicted Felon.
A news release says state troopers responded to accident involving Albright and they searched his vehicle. They found a sawed off shotgun inside. Albright had previously been convicted of a firearm offense in federal court.
A judge sentenced Albright to 25-39 months in prison.
