Crash affecting traffic after dump truck hits utility pole

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Highway Patrol is investigating a crash on Masonboro Loop Road involving a dump truck.

New Hanover County Dispatch said the call came in around 8:00 a.m. Dispatch said a dump truck hit a utility pole in the 5300 block of Masonboro Loop Road.

Dispatch said the area near Masonboro Loop Road and Piner Road is blocked off while the Highway Patrol Investigates.
