Crews respond to vehicle down embankment in Bladen County

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Crews responded Wednesday morning to a vehicle that went down an embankment in Bladen County.

According to the Elizabeth Fire Department, crews were requested to help the Lisbon Volunteer Fire Department with a vehicle down an embankment with poor access just before 8:00 a.m.

The fire department says that there was one person that needed to be removed from the vehicle and then brought up the embankment.

A picket system and stokes basket were used, and the person was safely removed from the vehicle and then brought up the hill to an EMS crew standing by.

The person was transferred to Bladen County Emergency Services and then transported to an emergency facility.
