Cucalorus is back with new features
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — It’s that time of year again, Cucalorus is back and organizers say it’s bigger than ever. Cucalorus 21 kicks off tomorrow bringing films from here and all over the world to screens all over Wilmington.
Board member and programmer, Aaron Hillis said the festival is about so much more than just watching movies, it’s about bringing people and artists together. This year a new component will even reach out to folks in the tech sector. Cucalorus Connect will go on for the duration of the festival.
“It’s going to bridge the gab between venture capitalism and kind of entrepreneurial innovation within the tech sector,” Hillis said. He said that there is a real need and demand for opportunities for folks to fund innovation through creative means and Cucalorus Connect is providing that opportunity.
Hillis encourages folks to take advantage of all the events that will be going on throughout the festival. He said to make sure you get your tickets early, because some events sell out quick.
