Davis wins medal, Hoggard claims CCC girls golf championship

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WWAY) — After winning every Carolina Coast girls golf meet this season, Hoggard kept their streak alive by winning the conference championship meet Monday at Porter’s Neck.

The Vikings finished with a score of 267, followed by New Hanover and Topsail tying for 2nd 23 strokes back.

Susan Davis of the Wildcats claimed first individually by shooting a 79. Five strokes back of that was Elliot Walters of the Vikings. Laney’s Alley Casey rounded out the podium a shot back of that.

Qualifying athletes will next participate in Regionals, which begins next week.
