Days after opening for over a week, Warming Shelter ILM opens its doors once again

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY)– Just a few days after opening for over a week, The Warming Shelter ILM is once again open for the nights of February 7th and February 8th at Grace United Methodist Church. They will close on Monday, February 9th, at 9 in the morning. Check in is at 5 P.M. and check out is at 9 A.M.

The shelter is a temporary, overnight, cold weather place where people can go if they are homeless. They open whenever the temperature drops below 30.

On Saturday, they began preparations by setting up cots, prepping food, and placing blankets.
