DDI re-opens a day early, NCDOT says more work ahead

LELAND, NC (WWAY) — The Diverging Diamond Interchange at Village and River Roads is back open.

The NC DOT said it was supposed to be closed until tomorrow morning, so crews can place lane striping on the roads.

DOT spokesman Brian Rick said the DDI opened this morning.

Rick said due to pavement moisture, additional work will have to performed at a later time.
