Deputies: $46,000+ worth of ecstasy seized from home, pair charged
BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Officials with with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office Drug Enforcement Unit, along with the Boiling Spring Lakes Police Department, arrested a pair accused of having more than $46,000 worth of ecstasy in their home.
Deputies said Christy Joyce Anderson, 34, and Scott Eldred Anderson, 31, of Elm Street, Boiling Spring Lakes, are facing charges including felony trafficking in MDA/MDMA. Deputies say Christy Anderson is also facing marijuana-related charges.
More than 400 grams of MDMA, with an estimated street value of over $46,000, was seized from the home. MDMA is commonly referred to as ecstasy. The investigation was in response to numerous tips and complaints from the community, deputies said.
Both suspects are currently being held in the Brunswick County Detention Facility under $200,000 bonds.
