Deputies arrest duo on drug charges
BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office Drug Enforcement Unit arrests a Shallotte duo on multiple drug charges.
A spokeswoman said because of tips and complaints from the community, investigators were able to take Heather Sheri Bland, 28, and Evan James Coleman, 28, into custody.
Bland faces several charges which include conspiring to sell a Schedule II controlled substance, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, selling a Schedule II controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver a Schedule II controlled substance, two counts of selling heroin, two counts of PWIMSD heroin, two counts of conspiracy to sell heroin, and intimidating a witness. She is being held under at the Brunswick County Detention Facility $200,000 bond.
Coleman is charged with selling heroin, PWIMSD heroin, two counts of conspiring to sell heroin, conspiracy to sell a Schedule II controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is also at the Brunswick County Detention Facility under a $270,000 bond.
