Deputies bust man for allegedly selling heroin out of home in Creekwood

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — New Hanover County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man they say was selling heroin out of a home in Creekwood.

According to a news release, Monday Vice/Narcotics detectives finished a two-month investigation stemming from several complaints of drugs being distributed from 705 Emory Street. Detectives executed a search warrant at the home and found heroin and marijuana along with drug paraphernalia.

Investigators arrested Charles Alexis Batts, 42, for possession with intent to sell/deliver heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and maintaining a vehicle and/or dwelling. Detectives also issued Anestashala Ellerby a state citation for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Court records show Batts has other pending charges involving heroin and cocaine in New Hanover and Pender counties.
