Deputies looking for man who robbed BBQ restaurant

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — New Hanover County Deputies are looking for an armed robber.

The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office says the robbery happened just after 7:30 Monday night at the Carolina BBQ in Murrayville.

Deputies say the man entered the restaurant and approached the cashier with a hand gun and demanded money. The robber received an undisclosed amount of cash and ran away on foot.

Deputies add that the suspect had been seen in a black Isuzu type SUV with black rims with a white male driver wearing a black tank top.

Investigators say he’s in his 20s, between 5’6 and 5’8 and between 150 and 175 pounds.
