Deputies investigating Columbus Co. homicide

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Deputies with the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office say they’re investigating a holiday shooting that turned into a homicide.

Deputies said on July 4 they responded to a shooting call in the intersection of Clyde Norris Road and Bermuda Bay. Investigators learned Antron Oshea Bowman, 25, had been shot and taken to a nearby hospital in a private vehicle.

Deputies said Bowman died July 12 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach.
