Deputies: Leland burger place robbed at knife-point

LELAND, NC (WWAY) — Brunswick County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating after they say a masked man robbed a Leland burger joint with a knife Monday.

A Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman says it happened just after 5 p.m. at Aly’s Burgers at 1389 Lanvale Road. They say a man was armed with a knife when he got away with an undisclosed amount of cash from inside the business.

Deputies say the robber was wearing a black hoodie, black jeans, a black mask and gloves at the time of the crime. Anyone with information is asked to call the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office.
