Details released from Strawberry Festival saturation event

CHADBOURN, NC (WWAY) — The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with neighboring law enforcement agencies, launched a saturation operation during the North Carolina Strawberry Festival on Saturday evening.

This initiative encompassed the Chadbourn city limits and surrounding communities.

The checking station ran from 8:00 p.m. until 12:00 a.m.

The following is a list of the violations from the saturation event:

2 – Drug-Related Citations

5 – DWI Citations

2 – Speed Citations

4 – No Insurance Citations

25 – Registration Violation Citations

7 – Restraint Citations

2 – No Operator’s License Citations

10 – Driving While License Revoked Citations

16 – Other Traffic Citations

6 – Fugitives Arrested
