Detectives: Safe stolen from inside Ocean Isle Beach Subway

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Ocean Isle Beach Police are investigating after deputies say someone stole a safe from inside a Subway restaurant last week.

Police say it happened at the Subway at 113 Causeway Drive last Friday some time after 10:30 p.m. That’s where they say someone, possibly accompanied by others, entered the restaurant and took the safe and its contents while inside.

Detectives say the suspect(s) took off running from the scene with the safe in an unknown direction before a Subway employee discovered the break-in and missing safe the following morning.
