Divas Las Vegas to pay tribute to iconic Vegas acts, raise money for youth organizations

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Cape Fear region is gearing up for a glamorous evening as Divas Las Vegas, a one-night cabaret event, returns to downtown Wilmington. Event Chairperson Joan Loch provided insights into the upcoming extravaganza during a recent interview.

The fundraiser, now in its seventh year, is set to benefit two crucial youth programs: the Thalian Youth Theater and Kids Making It. Loch highlighted the alignment of the event’s mission with the objectives of these programs, emphasizing their focus on fostering self-esteem, imparting life skills, and nurturing teamwork among youth.

The event promises a night of entertainment with musical performances paying tribute to iconic Vegas headliners like The Rat Pack, Celine Dion, and Cher. Attendees will also enjoy dinner, with complimentary parking available across the street from the venue at Union Station.

A highlight of Divas Las Vegas is its array of live and silent auctions, featuring a variety of items to raise funds for the benefiting organizations. Loch revealed some of the auction items, including trips to Mexico and Las Vegas, as well as exclusive dining experiences curated by acclaimed chef Dean Neff of Seabird.

It’s happening Saturday, February 24 at 7:00 p.m. For those interested in attending, Loch encourages people to contact the Thalian Association at 910-251-1788 to avoid online fees. You can find out more information here.
