Domino effect of week 7 revisions now impacting week 8 schedule

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Only half of the week 7 high school football games in our area were played prior to October 5th. With that being the case some of the regularly scheduled week 8 October 9th games are now having to be pushed back even though the weather forecast for this Friday is favorable.

Tuesday’s revised schedule – Oct. 6
Pender at Midway 6:30 p.m.
Hoggard at New Hanover 7:30 p.m.
Union at Trask (now moved to Tuesday, Oct. 13 at 6:30)

Wednesday’s revised schedule – Oct. 7
Laney at South Brunswick – 6:30 p.m.
West Brunswick vs. Topsail 6:30 (at Legion Stadium) (note, location change)

Week 8 Schedule – Originally scheduled for Friday, October 9th
New Hanover at Laney – moved to Monday, Oct. 12 at 6:30
South Brunswick at West Brunswick – moved to Saturday, Oct. 10 at 6:30
Topsail at Ashley – moved to Monday, Oct. 12 at 7:00
Trask at West Bladen –
Wallace-Rose Hill at Union –
Pender at East Bladen –
Red Springs at Whiteville –
