Dosher Memorial Hospital to host a ribbon cutting ceremony for a new Emergency Department

Wilmington, NC (WWAY) — Dosher Memorial Hospital celebrates a milestone in healthcare and will be holding a grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting for a new 8,000 square foot emergency department today at 5:00 p.m.

This event will take place at the new Dosher Emergency Department building at the corner of North Howe Street and East 9th Street in Southport.

The event will kick off with a speaker’s remarks and a dedication of the building at  5:05 p.m., along with the ribbon cutting at 5:15 p.m. in front of the building.

There are 200 guests expected to attend, as well as members of the hospital Board of Trustees, Foundation Board, Dosher staff, and volunteers.  Speakers include Dosher Board Chair Robert Howard and Dosher CEO Lynda Stanley.

The event ends at 7:00 p.m., and guests attending should park in Dosher’s Atlantic Avenue parking lot behind the hospital next to the helipad.
