Downtown Wilmington intersection closes Monday

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The intersection of Princess and Water Streets in Downtown Wilmington will close on Monday as crews continue to work on the Riverfront Park project. The intersection will remain closed through mid to late February.

The intersection will remain open to pedestrians. According to a city spokesman, Water St. between Grace St. and Princess St. will be open to local traffic and parking only.

Crews will be installing new gravity sewer lines and replacing a portion of the storm water drainage system at the foot of Princess St.
