Fire destroys two Surf City condos
SURF CITY, NC (WWAY) — A fire that destroyed two condos in Surf City Monday night is under investigation.
The fire originated in a unit at the Surf City Condos on New River Drive around midnight before spreading to a nearby condo.
Surf City Fire Chief Allen Wilson says about four to five people were displaced and offered temporary shelter at a nearby church.
Both units were destroyed but no on was injured.
The Surf City fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
