Drivers hit roadblock as Oleander work begins

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Drivers unaware of road construction on Oleander Drive in Wilmington were in for a rude awakening today.

Part of the busy road is closed at the railroad tracks near Dawson Street. Drivers had no choice but to turn around.

CSX Railroad and the Department of Transportation are making improvements to the rail crossing.

The road is scheduled to reopen Thursday at 11 p.m.
