Dublin residents vote for alcohol sales at stores and restaurants

DUBLIN, NC (WWAY) — If you enjoy beer or wine, there are a lot of places in our area where you cannot buy them including the Town of Bladen in Bladen County. Voters were asked whether to change that and they said yes.

The Town of Dublin is no longer dry. There were four separate ballot questions. First whether to sell malt beverages on premises and it passes 75-38, then to allow beer sales off premises which was a slightly wider margin at 78-36.

Would restaurants be allowed to sell wine? Yes, by a vote of 79-36. That was the same margin that said yes to wine in stores.

So it’s official! Alcohol can be sold at restaurants and stores in the Town of Dublin.
