Dumpster catches fire in apartment complex

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Wilmington Fire Department responded to a fire at an apartment complex in Wilmington.

The fire was in a dumpster in the parking lot at the Reserve at Forest Hills a little before 8 p.m. Friday off of Darlington Avenue.

It took about an hour for fire crews to put it out. They say they do not know if a lightning strike caused the fire.

No one was hurt.
