Duplin County schools closing early for Donald Trump visit


DUPLIN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) – James Sprunt Community College will close at noon on Tuesday due to safety concerns surrounding Donald Trump’s rally at the Duplin Events Center.

That news came in an email from JSCC Executive Administrative Assistant to the President Stephanie Stuart.

Late this afternoon, Duplin County schools also announced they would close at noon due to the increased traffic and visitors expected in the area because of Trump’s rally.

The Republican presidential nominee is speaking at 5 p.m. at the Duplin County Events Center in Kenansville.

As of this afternoon, tickets were still available.
