East Bladen girls finish regular season undefeated

ELIZABETHTOWN, NC (WWAY)  — The East Bladen girls beat arch rival West Bladen on Thursday 71-27. It’s the second year in a row the Eagles have able to go through the entire regular season without a loss. Senior Lacey Suggs led East Bladen with 28 points. East Bladen is now 24-0 heading into their conference tournament next week.

After the game we caught up with East Bladen head coach Patty Evers. “Tonight’s win was basically about our seniors,” Evers told WWAY. “Those four girls have done great things. They’ve won their third conference championship this week. You know, most of all they’re good quality student athletes and I think that’s more important than just being an athlete. And they carry themselves well. They’re just a great group of girls and they’ve just done a lot for our school and community.”
