EMS officials said there are at least 30 people at East Bladen High School and more are expected because of rising water.
Volunteers said they are serving three hot meals a day to the residents there. Students from the high school brought over more water and supplies this today.
Emily Scott said she texted some of her friends this morning to help her go get whatever they could to help.
“Just to help relief, because I know some of us still don’t have power but at least we have our homes and stuff that our cars that we can get stuff for and bring out here to do the best we can,” Scott said.
EMS officials said crews are working very hard to get power back on as soon as possible.
