Eastern Carolina Veterinary Referral holds a “Fill the U-Haul” campaign

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Eastern Carolina Veterinary Referral has started a “Fill the U-Haul” campaign for the animals displaced by the flooding.

They’re currently accepting donations of dog and cat food, bowls, water, beds, blankets, collars and other pet supplies at their location on 50 Greenville Avenue in Wilmington.

Then on Thursday afternoon, they will be hauling the supplies to their sister hospital in Hickory in which the supplies will be made available on Friday to pet owners who have been displaced or for fosters who are helping care for a lost or displaced pet due to the natural disaster.
