Eden Village of Wilmington named Bank of America’s ‘Coastal North Carolina 2025 Neighborhood Builder’

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Eden Village of Wilmington has been named Bank of America’s 2025 Neighborhood Builder.
The organization that builds tiny homes for the disabled and chronically homeless in the Wilmington area, Eden Village, was awarded a $50,000 grant over two years, leadership training for the executive director.
Since Bank of America’s signature Neighborhood Builders program inception, seven non-profits have been selected as Neighborhood Builders in Coastal North Carolina brining the banks total investments to more than $350,000.
“The Neighborhood Builder award enabled us to continue supporting our chronically unsheltered friends in a manner that allows them to maintain their dignity and reside in a safe place they are proud to call home, said Shawn Hayes, Executive Director of Eden Village of Wilmington. “Our mission is to create communities for our unsheltered friends, and our goal is to make Wilmington a city where no one sleeps outside. These funds allow us to continue operating and focus our fundraising efforts on expanding to meet the affordable housing need in the community.”
The new grant funding will support Eden Village of Wilmington’s operational costs.
