Elizabethtown man charged with murder

ELIZABETHTOWN, NC (WWAY) — An Elizabethtown man has been charged with first-degree murder.
According to the Elizabethtown Police Department, detectives responded to a homicide back on August 10th along the 300 block of West Gill Street.
The victim, Jabral Tyron Rogers, 33, a resident of Elizabethtown, died from gunshot wounds sustained during an altercation.
Through an investigation, the Elizabethtown Police Department, in collaboration with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (NC SBI), Fayetteville Police Department, and the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office, identified Lashan Tatum, 40, as the suspect.
Tatum was charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of Jabral Tyron Rogers.
