Events around the Cape Fear for NC First in Freedom Festival

CAPE FEAR, NC (WWAY) — The North Carolina First in Freedom Festival kicks off Saturday.

This statewide celebration honors North Carolina’s pivotal role in America’s fight for independence, marking the 250th anniversary of the nation.

Communities will host events from February 21 through February 28 with Moores Creek National Battlefield serving as a central site.
