Exterior renovations complete at Bellamy Mansion and Museum

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Bellamy Mansion and Museum, a historic site downtown, has just completed a much-anticipated renovation.

Located on Market Street, this building has not had a refresh since the 1990s. To celebrate its 30th anniversary, a fresh coat of paint for the exterior was essential.

Despite the renovations, the mansion remained open and operational.

Jen Fenninger, the Director of Education and Engagement for the Bellamy Mansion Museum, expressed her excitement about the project’s completion: “We’ve been taking pictures like crazy—just really excited to be able to see it and look at what it is. We just have one last piece, which is to get the shutters on; they should be here relatively soon. So we will have those dark green shutters back, and just looking at it, we are so excited. It’s a long time coming and it looks great; it’s wonderful.”

The mansion’s reveal will be highlighted at the Bellamy Mansion Museum’s annual event, “Nights of Light,” in December.
