Fall in Asheville

If you've ever visited the western part of the state during the fall, no doubt you were in awe over the beautiful red, gold and yellow leaves. Even though we just said good-bye to summer, some leaves are already changing in Asheville.

Monday morning tourism delegates stopped by to talk about the best time to see the leaves change and other events taking place in Asheville in autumn. We also asked if the drought would have any effect on the color of the leaves produced. "Yeah, I mean we did experience a drought, but we're really optimistic about the colors this year, in fact, at the Arboretum we're already starting to see dwarf dogwoods along our entryway turning flame yellow, they're beautiful and also at Grandfather Mountain at the top, peak colors starting to show already." said Gavin Young, with the NC Arboretum.
