Family of missing Columbus County woman ask for help finding her
DELCO, NC (WWAY) — The family of a missing Columbus County woman is asking the public for help to find her.
Shanna Perry was last seen on April 26th in the Delco area of the county, and her mother and aunt last spoke to her the day before.
Perry was 5 months pregnant when she was last seen.
Her mother Tracy Perry said Shann cared and loved her kids and that she needs to know what happened.
“I want closure, I need closure,” Perry said. “Any mother would. She was very loving and she’s never missed a Mother’s Day. I miss her, I just want to bring her home.”
Christopher Rhodes of Precision Search and Rescue has been involved in the search for Shanna.
Rhodes has spent the past 20 years looking for missing people throughout Southeast North Carolina and he said he only cares about being able to bring closure to Shanna’s family.
“And it would do my heart all the good and the people that work with Precision and all of the volunteers, if we could just locate her and bring her back to her family,” Rhodes said. “And we could at least lay her to rest because right now, we know that she is not resting.”
Rhodes is offering a reward to anyone who can provide a tip that leads to Shanna’s whereabouts.
Tracy appreciates all of the love and support Chris has given her in recent weeks.
“He’s come to my house, he’s come to my house, he’s prayed with me, him and his wife,” Perry said. “They’ve kept in contact and made me feel, you know, like I’m a part of them and I appreciate that, I really do.”
A spokeswoman for the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office said the NC State Bureau of Investigation has been called in to assist in the search for Shanna.
