WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Family Promise of the Lower Cape Fear recently received a $20,000 grant from Clayton Homes, ensuring that families in the New Hanover, Brunswick and Pender Counties receive the support they need to stay safely housed.

According to a press release, The grant is a portion of the $1.5 million dollars Clayton is dispersing to the Family Promise national network.

“Preventing homelessness before it happens is one of the most powerful ways to address the crisis,” said Family Promise Interim Executive Director Angie Hill. “Keeping families in their homes spares children from unnecessary stress and trauma while allowing parents to focus on regaining stability. Thanks to our partnership with Clayton, we can reach even more families in need and work toward a future where every child has a safe place to call home.”
