Family to hold vigil for missing Leland woman
LELAND, NC (WWAY) — The family of a missing Leland woman plans to hold a candlelight vigil tomorrow to raise awareness of her disappearance.
The event in honor of Alicia Marie Deans is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday at Leland Town Hall Park.
Deans, 26, was last seen April 28. Brunswick County Sheriff’s deputies say Deans, of Old Lanvale Road, was likely heading to Whiteville to visit a friend around 1:30 p.m. that day.
Deans is a white female, 5’7″ tall, weighs 160 lbs., and has blue eyes and dark hair. Investigators say she drives a green, four-door Ford Taurus with North Carolina plate CLS5844.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Ronald Clarke at 386-7080, or call 911.
