Farmin’ Brands hopes to add more employees
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Local business Farmin’ Brands is looking to hire more employees as they prepare to open up shop in Downtown Wilmington.
Farmin’ Brands hosted a job fair Monday to hire more than 20 positions such as bakers, seafood artisans, prep cooks, and creamery associates.
Randall Heath says they are just weeks away from the opening of Farmin’ On Front.
He says there are more than 6,000 people unemployed in Wilmington and want to take advantage of the talent in the area.
“Number one for us is always cultural fit,” Heath said. “We are looking for people who have the same mind set as we do, and then from there is just determining what skills they have and what positions we can match them up with.”
Heath said they saw more than 80 people in a group interview setting. He adds that a date will soon be announced on when Farmin’ On Front will open.
