Fashion show launches Azalea Festival festivities this weekend

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The official North Carolina Azalea Festival kicks off this weekend with a fashionable bang.

The fourth annual Azalea Spring Fashion Show will kick off the festivities as models hit the runway to show off Spring styles to inspire fashion at various events during festival week.

The event is sponsored by REV Federal Credit Union and has a stellar lineup, with general admission including light brunch, drinks, and a complimentary swag bag.

Dori Bashara is the Community Engagement Coordinator for REV Federal Credit Union.

She says REV immediately jumped on the opportunity to sponsor the fashion show.

“We looked at all of the offerings they had for events, and the fashion show really resonated with us. There’s a lot of creativity, entrepreneurship, and just exciting stuff that goes into it, and we’ve been the fashion show sponsor for the last three years,” said Bashara.

The show will begin at 1 o’clock at the Lumina Hotel in Wrightsville Beach on Sunday, March 15th.
