FBI: ‘Bad Wig Bandit’ wanted for 3 NC bank robberies
CHARLOTTE, NC (WWAY) — The same man is believed to be responsible for robbing three banks in our viewing area and the FBI is asking for the public’s help to locate the man.
The FBI said the “Bad Wig Bandit” hit the BB&T at 16710 Northcross Dr. and in Huntersville on Dec. 13, 2019.

On Jan. 8, the same person could be seen on surveillance video robbing the New Horizon Bank located at 6440 Wilkinson Blvd. in Belmont, and about five hours later, he allegedly robbed the Wells Fargo located at 403 Cox Road in Gastonia.
In each robbery, he wore a different wig, the FBI said.
