‘Feast Down East’ looking for donors after experiencing funding loss

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — One non-profit in the Cape Fear is experiencing a loss of funding and is asking for your help.

‘Feast Down East’ is a Wilmington based non-profit that works to strengthen the partnership between farming communities and areas with a need of increased food access.

The organization recently failed to receive two large grants that they were counting on.

Jordyn Appel-Hughes is the Executive Director for ‘Feast Down East.’

She said there is no better time to help out than for folks to consider donating this upcoming Tuesday.

“Giving Tuesday is a really empowering day and we are grateful for any level of support or donation that we might get here at Feast Down East,” Appel-Hughes said.

To help you can visit feastdowneast.org where you will see a “donate now” button.
