Fiery crash shuts down Carolina Beach Rd. temporarily

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Carolina Beach Road was shut down for a few hours this weekend, because of a fiery crash.

Wilmington police officers say it happened just before midnight Friday at the intersection of Carolina Beach Road and Kentucky Ave.

Officers say two vehicles collided causing one to rollover and become fully engulfed in fire.

No injuries or arrests have been reported at this time.
