Fill a Patrol Car with holiday donations and support local families

LELAND, NC (WWAY) –On Friday, Leland Police and Fire Departments will be collecting donations for families in need this holiday season. The two departments will pack a patrol car full of non-perishable food items and new, unwrapped toys for children of all ages.

Once the car is full, all donations will go to Brunswick Family Assistance, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping families with food and other resources.

Leland Police Chief Jeremy Humphries is hopeful the community will come out in full support once again.

“We’ve got a really great community. They’re very supportive of what we’re trying to do, and it really impacts those families who need the services Brunswick Family Assistance provides.”

The patrol car will be parked in front of Walmart on New Pointe Boulevard in Leland from 9 AM to 3 PM.
