Final preparations underway for Cucalorus Film Festival’s 30th year
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Preparations are well underway for the 30th Annual Cucalorus Film Festival.
Ahead of opening night Wednesday, staff and volunteers are putting the final touches on the region’s largest film festival.
The festival will host dozens of events, live performances, and screenings of more than a hundred films ranging from students to veteran filmmakers.
Volunteer Coordinator Delia Stanley says volunteers are hard at work making the festival’s 30th the best one yet.
“From being at the airport when filmmakers arrive, to working here at Jengo’s, to folks that are going to be at our parties and our social events, across all of these departments, the volunteer team’s very important,” Stanley said.
The festival kicks off tomorrow at 7 pm with an “oyster party” at Hi-Wire Brewing. To purchase tickets or see the event schedule, you can visit the festival’s website.
