Final touches underway for 29th Annual Cucalorus Film Festival
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY)– Final preparations are underway for what was voted one of the coolest film festivals in the world right here in Wilmington.
The 29th Annual Cucalorus Film Festival will kick off Wednesday November 15th.
Festival staff is in high gear making final preparations for the 5-day event.
This year’s theme is “weird plants”.
The opening film will premier tomorrow night at Thalian Hall, which is locally produced by a female led company called Honey Head.
Dan Brawley, Chief Instigating Officer for Cucalorus, says it’s not too late to get your tickets.
“There are a lot of folks in Wilmington who wouldn’t miss Cucalorus for anything. We sold out of our main pass, the Pegasorus Pass, but we still have tons of tickets available, especially for tickets at Thalian Main Stage,” said Brawley.
More than 100 films will be featured at multiple venues, and staff is preparing to welcome filmmakers and festivalgoers from the Cape Fear, and across the country.
