Fire damages two apartments in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Firefighters responded to a fire at a Wilmington apartment complex Thursday evening.

Fire crews there said around 7:00 p.m. a fire broke out in 1311 Wellington Avenue just off of Carolina Beach Road.

Firefighters say they had it under control within 15 minutes.

There are no injuries reported and investigators with the Fire Marshall are now looking into what caused the fire.

You could see visible damage from both the first and second floor units.
