DELCO, NC (WWAY) — Wednesday night, the Acme-Delco-Riegelwood-Fire-Rescue (ADR) was called to Delco for a reported structure fire.

The call came in around 10:30 p.m. according to the fire rescue.

Upon arrival, crews found a large machine shop fully involved. The chief confirmed everyone was out and crews attacked the aggressive fire to knock it down and prevent the spread to a nearby residence.

ADR says in about 90 minutes the fire was under control and all units were cleared. Fire crews returned to the station.

ADR applauds the crew for their work with the fire and also the work washing and resetting the trucks when they got back to the station to be ready for the next emergency.

Multiple crews assisted with the fire including N.W. Fire Station 33, Buckhead Fire Station, Lake Waccamaw Fire Rescue, and Bolton Vol. Fire.
